Queensland Formwork Code of Practice 2016

Infrastructural Engineers (ISE) provide RPEQ formwork design and pre-pour inspections compliant with the Queensland Formwork Code of Practice 2016

 

Who is deemed a competent person in the Code of Practice?

In relation to performing an inspection or other task for a control measure is a person who has acquired, through training, qualifications or experience knowledge and skills, including:

  1. sound knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, relevant codes of   practice and other relevant legislation,
  2. ability to read and interpret drawings, and
  3. sound knowledge of, and competence in, the risk management process for the erecting, altering and dismantling of formwork, including;
  • hazard identification and risk assessment
  • measures to control exposure to risks
  • safe work practices and procedures, and
  • how to plan and prepare formwork.

By competent person;

-Wall & column formwork < 2.4m high

-Slab formwork < 3m high or < 250mm thick

-Infill slab formwork < 4.5m high, 20m2 & 300mm thick

 

 

By RPEQ Engineer;

-Wall & column formwork > 2.4m high

-Self climbing or crane assisted formwork

-Slab formwork > 3m high or > 250mm thick

-Stair & landing formwork > 3m high or > 200mm thick

-Multi storey formwork & backpropping

By competent person;

-Single sided wall formwork < 2.4m high

-Wall & column formwork < 3.5m high

-Slab formwork < 3m high or < 250mm thick

-Infill slab formwork < 4.5m high, 20m2 & 300mm thick

 

By RPEQ Engineer;

-Single sided wall formwork > 2.4m high

-Wall & column formwork > 3.5m high

-Self climbing or crane assisted formwork

-Slab formwork > 3m high or > 250mm thick

-Stair & landing formwork > 3m high or > 200mm thick

-Multi storey formwork & backpropping
